Healthy Glow is an establishement of GLOBAL GLOW that creates and operates innovative programs that mentor girls to advocate for themselves and make their communities strong.The program also ensure that the girls have the information they need to stay healthy and in school.
It is a 13-week cascaded program that provide girls with a safe space and experienced mentors that help them explore, discuss and learn more about their physical, mental and social health and wellbeing.
The program involve three key components namely; stakeholders engagement, recruitment and training of mentors and conducting Healthy Glow Weekly Sessions preferably weekends. The objective of the Programs are as follows:
The program content is based on four sub-modules namely;
- Community connection
- Puberty, Anatomy and Pregnancy
- Self Esteem and Communication
- Consent, Sexuality, sexually transmitted Infections and protection
The curriculum incorporate changes that is girl focused, listening-led, mentorship focus and team drivenl locally and globally.
It will thus reinforce and support girls strength in areas that increase their self-awareness, self-management, personal hyegiene, well being, school engagement, community action & planning, community level-value and commitment to girls which will promote gender equality, equitable communities, and drive sustainable economic growth around the world so that every girls can reach her full potential.
